Advocate
New Mexico Early Childhood Association unites early childhood service providers in advocacy for policies and regulations that secure quality outcomes for children and families.
Our advocacy efforts focus on citizen education and representation during legislative sessions.
NMECA understands that families should have a choice in their child’s early education, and we are committed to making family and provider voices heard.
NMECA has a lobbyist that represents the early childhood industry during legislative sessions and ensure early childhood programs and professionals are considered during decision-making.
We also serve as an information hub for new policies and regulations that affect early childhood service providers.
Lead
The New Mexico Early Childhood Association is dedicated to fostering the current and emerging leaders within the early childhood industry.
We offer monthly opportunities for director level professionals to connect during our Leadership Learning Circles, and also offer the National Administrator Credential three times per year, as well as continuing education throughout our annual meeting, annual conference, and workshops.
Elevate
New Mexico Early Childhood Association promotes, encourages, and recognizes excellence in early childhood services.
We do this through supporting the wellbeing of early childhood professionals, connecting our members to national organizations, and preserving accreditation pathways for high quality services.
Additionally, in 2025, we will begin the Early Childhood Excellence Awards, where we recognize professionals and programs for their Legacy, Community Impact, Innovation, Professional Development, Family Engagement, and Leadership.
