Meet Our Keynote Speaker: Vernon Mason Jr.

With over 24 years as an early childhood administrator, Vernon Mason Jr. is a compelling advocate for resilience and leadership in the face of adversity. Starting with just a $5,000 credit card, Vernon grew a single 30-child center into a network serving 500 children—proving that strong leadership can overcome even the toughest challenges.

When a natural disaster destroyed his childcare center, Vernon rebuilt and came back stronger, showcasing the power of perseverance and effective policy engagement. Now, as a national leader, he inspires others to advocate for meaningful change, navigate complex systems, and create supportive environments for children, families, and professionals.

Don’t miss his keynote, “Don’t Waste a Crisis: A Story of Perseverance During Tough Times,” where Vernon will share how empathy-driven leadership and strategic advocacy can transform challenges into opportunities for progress. His insights will empower you to drive policy solutions that support equity, quality, and resilience in early childhood education.
